Knee Cartilage Procedures

The knees are the joints most likely to go bad and the cartilage that cushions them has only a limited natural ability to repair itself. Cartilage procedures are very common in young adults and adolescents. They can also be used for older people with arthritis.

Treatments range from a micro fracture technique, cartilage transplantation and mosaicplasty for lesions bigger than 2cm in the knee.  In Mosaicplasty the TRU FIT procedure uses tiny cartilage plugs which are inserted into the gap when an injury or blow to the knee damages a chunk of articular cartilage.
